You can try to time the ISS as soon as you hear the loud roar or when he puts the head up

Almost impossible to get the opening slash w/o lvl 3 quick sheath. I think it actually may be impossible. Sometimes I settle for foresight if not maxed on sheath. But you most likely already know that.

@@batuza4117 There is no particular reason or benefit, it could have been any weapon in the second slot.

You can skip r2 hold when in red gauge.

unrelated but if you are in focus mode and try to do the skip after a spirit slash (still in focus mode) the timing for the sheathe becomes much much tighter for some reason

If you time correctly the ISS you can do the special sheathe immediately after, even if your attack doesn’t hit the monster. If you miss the timing in that case you need to reset with the R2 hold technique

@@Zero_MHz thanks! also, I'm struggling with the opening of stealth attack, r2 hold and then I don't have time to special sheathe its roar, always for some millisecond even tho I immediately do it :/

With some monsters is impossible to do, but with Arkveld usually shouldn’t be a problem

Just holding R2 during the sneak attack animation

It’s a problem for each action of the game and every weapon not only for the LS, but I’m aware it’s very heavy especially for the ISS.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it at the moment, I hope they will fix it soon with a patch.
Anyway you may try to anticipate a little the ISS instead of trying to frame perfect

It prevents the monster to leave the area, it happens when is around 25% of the total hp.
As you can see the mini map edge turns white instead of red, meaning the monster is about to leave

@@Zero_MHz is luring pod allowed by ta? just curious

@@RealDeehWe do not know officially yet. Right now we are referring to the previous game TA rules and using the luring pods because the monsters tend to leave the area immediately when close to death

With Gore set you are infected with frenzy, once you overcome it you gain +15% affinity. Antivirus helps you to overcome the frenzy faster and gives you another +10% affinity at Lv3
In total you get +25% affinity
