How to Participate in AWC 2025!

This year there are 135 items. Please pay attention because you cannot complete all items.

🎪 Level 1: Magician - A minimum of 25 tickets
🎪🎪 Level 2: Acrobat - A minimum of 45 tickets
🎪🎪🎪 Level 3: Lion Tamer - A minimum of 60 tickets

Introduction

This year we have created a collection of different Mini-Games that take inspiration from our previous challenges, going way back to the beginning.
You can copy the code manually from the posts below or use this website made by @Kaylee to generate the code for you.

What are tickets?

Tickets are earned from completing the Mini-Games
- Mini-Game #1: Darts (10 tickets)
- Mini-Game #2: Bingo (30 tickets)
- Mini-Game #3: Plinko (15 tickets)
- Mini-Game #4: Whack-A-Mole (15 tickets)
- Mini-Game #5: Tarot Cards (15 tickets)
- Mini-Game #6: Duck Pond (15 tickets)
How do I know how many Mini-Games to choose?
You must earn a minimum of 25 tickets so this means you'll either have to complete Mini-Game #2: Bingo or complete at least 2 other Mini-Games to complete the lowest level

Can I complete all the items?
No, you cannot. All the Mini-Games require you to either remove items or choose a path to completion
For example, the Mini-Game #2: Bingo has two different card groups to choose from (17A/17B, 21A/21B); you may only choose ONE 17 card and ONE 21 card

Can I do a Mini-Game multiple times?
No, each Mini-Game can only be done ONCE

How to Fill Out Your Form

Refresh the page after posting, as your post number may change if others posted right before you
Your initial post number is the number in the top right corner of your post - double check yours against the posts above you to determine if it is correct.
- If after making your post the post number changes, do not change your initial post number - this just means someone above you deleted their post
Fill in the header information and delete everything in brackets:
- Challenge Start Date -> The date the first anime was started for the challenge, regardless of when you signed up for the challenge
- Challenge Finish Date -> The date the last anime was completed for the challenge
- Anime in Forum Avatar/Signature -> The anime featured in your forum avatar and signature
Fill in the item information. The item codes copied into your post will look something like this:

Continue completing challenge items until you've finished enough to finish the Mini-Game. Remember, each anime entry can only be used once
Most of the Mini-Games can be done in any order and at the same as other Mini-Games, but please see the HOW TO PLAY sections for each Mini-Game for detailed instructions about each one.
Make sure to check the Challenge List with Explanations for further item explanations and helpful hints!
We are constantly trying to make the inspection process a faster one so please make sure to follow these guidelines:
- Do not alter the challenge list format
- Leave the item, anime's title, and any extra information each on their own line, exactly as provided in the sign up code
- Choose colors that are easy to read (avoid light colors (like this) or bright colors (like this))
- Do not change the font size of the item list
If you have signed up and then later decide that you don't want to or cannot participate, please do not delete your post. See the "Withdrawing from the Challenge" section for instructions.
(Optional) Grab a participant banner from our AWC 2025 Donated Banners and show it off on your profile/forum signature.

How to Add Mini-Games

After you add the Sign-Up Code spoiler content to your post, near the bottom of it you will see a line that says "[ADD BBCODE FOR YOUR MINI-GAMES HERE - Make sure any Mini-Games you choose go ABOVE the four BBCode lines below]" - All the Mini-Games must be pasted above this line or the code will break
Choose which Mini-Games you'd like to complete
Copy their respective codes into your post in the indicated space
If you're having a hard time following the code, each Mini-Game should end with a [/spoiler]
For Mini-Game #2: Bingo do NOT copy all four codes into your post, as it may exceed the post character count if you are doing other Mini-Games

Turning In & Tips

Ensure all necessary information in the sign-up form is correctly filled in and all requested information is provided
- Keep the provided format for the challenge item list.
  - For items that require extra information, display it in square brackets on a new line below the anime title
- Dates should have brackets on both ends and be in a consistent format (Jan 01 vs Jan 1) of [MMM DD]
- Delete unused or additional items or move them to a separate spoiler at the end of your post
- All listed anime should have the same title as its MAL page main title. This includes all punctuation
  - For example: "Working!!!" should include the !!! at the end
  - Similarly, titles like "Appleseed (Movie)" should include the bit in parentheses
  - Do not copy the anime title from the URL - "Uta_no☆Prince-sama♪__Maji_Love_1000" is not correct; it should be "Uta no☆Prince-sama♪: Maji Love 1000%"
  - A link to each anime's MAL page should also be included
Decide how we should treat your form:

Challenge List with Explanations

Anime = an animated work listed on MAL; any type is allowed unless otherwise specified
Screenshots are suggested as evidence for some items which require information that could change by the time you turn-in. If there is an extra information line that says "Screenshot: " then the item will be invalid without one
Some items rely on information provided by Anime+; you don't need to make an account, just type your username and it will update the information for you
Carefully read each item's additional information provided, as some of them require extra information to be provided
Keep in mind that all items related to score will use the score displayed in the entry's page; if an anime's score is listed as N/A, you cannot use it for items involving score
Anything marked in purple has a link to a screenshot
Anything marked in blue has a link to another page

Staff & Participants

(1) Watch an anime an active MAL Staff Member has listed in their 'Popularity vs Anime Score' profile statistics and provide a screenshot (AWC Staff are not MAL Staff)
— On the MAL user's profile click "All Anime Stats" just above the anime Mean Score or click "Statistics" under the Joined date
(2) Watch an anime from a Stack provided by an active AWC Staff Member (MAL Staff are not AWC Staff)
(3) Watch an anime completed by an AWC Staff Member (staff must have rated the anime at least an 8 and completed it before item is started)
(4) Watch an anime recommended to you in the AWC 2025 Staff Recs thread by an active AWC Staff Member
(5) Watch an anime recommended to you in the AWC 2025 Participant Recs thread
(6) Watch an anime completed by a 2025 AWC participant who has a sign-up post on page 1-3 (participant must have rated the anime a 9 or 10 and completed it before item is started)
(7) Watch an anime that a 2025 AWC participant has completed for the 2025 challenge (participant must have completed anime before item is started)
(8) Watch an anime a 2025 AWC participant dropped or put on-hold September 30, 2024 or earlier (participant must have watched at least one episode)
— If participant does not track Start/Finish dates, their Last Updated must show a date of September 30, 2024 or earlier
— You may not use your own list for this item
(9) Watch an anime featured in a 2025 AWC participant's forum avatar or signature
— The character in the avatar/signature must appear in the anime you choose to watch, not just the series in general
(10) Watch an anime a 2025 AWC participant has listed in their 'MAL Score vs Anime Score' profile statistics and provide a screenshot
— On the MAL user's profile click "All Anime Stats" just above the anime Mean Score or click "Statistics" under the Joined date

Types & Episodes
(11) Watch a TV-type anime with an episode duration of 25 minutes or more
(12) Watch an ONA, OVA, or Special that has 10 episodes or more
(13) Watch a Movie with a total duration of 1 hour 30 minutes or more
(14) Watch a TV-type anime with an irregular release schedule (where at least one episode was released less than 7 days after its previous episode or more than 7 days after its previous episode)
— If the episode air dates are not listed in the anime's Episodes tab, you must provide a reliable source of this information (AniDB, AnimeNewsNetwork, etc.)

For the following 2 items, you must do both or they are automatically invalid
(15) Watch a TV-type anime with a Sequel listed under Related Entries
(16) Watch a Sequel (any anime type) to the anime used for Item (15)
— The pair can be watched in whatever order you want; sometimes a "prequel" airs after its "sequel"
(17) Watch an anime with 15 or more episodes (each episode must be less than 16 minutes)
(18) Watch an anime with 22 or more episodes (each episode must be at least 15 minutes)
(19) Watch an anime with 43 or more episodes (each episode must be at least 15 minutes)
(20) Watch an anime with 61 or more episodes (each episode must be at least 10 minutes)

(21) Watch an anime that began airing between Jan 1, 2020 and Dec 31, 2024 (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)

Titles
For the following section, you must use the main title on the anime's MAL page - alternative titles are not valid
(43) Watch an anime that has a main title starting with the same letter/number as your MAL username
— If your username starts with a non-standard character (anything that isn't a number or letter like -, *, [, ], _, etc) the anime's main title can start with any non-standard character
(44) Watch an anime with 7 or more words in the main title (symbols and numbers do not count as words)
— The words must be separated by a space; two words linked with a symbol (no space) will count as one word. Example: "Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania" has four words
(45) Watch an anime that has an English number (10, ten) somewhere in the main title
(46) Watch an anime that has a one-word main title
— The word cannot be a symbol, single letter, or number (unless the number is written as a word)
— Titles with punctuation separating words are not allowed (like Steins;Gate and K-On!)
(47) Watch an anime that has a main character’s name/nickname/alternative name in the main title
(48) Watch an anime with at least two different non-alphanumeric characters in the main title
(49) Watch an anime that has at least 3 words in the main title that start with the same letter

MAL Stats
(50) Watch an anime that is tagged with one of your two least watched Genres/Themes/Demographics by Days according to your MAL statistics and provide a screenshot showing the genre selections
— On your profile under Statistics click "All Anime Stats"; click "Genres"; sort by smallest number of "Days"
— "Genres", "Themes", and "Demographics" should all have a check mark ("Explicit Genres" is optional)
(51) Watch an anime that has the number 25 in its MAL ID
— The MAL ID is the set of digits after the "anime/" section of the anime page's URL (Cowboy Bebop's MAL ID is 1)
(52) Watch an anime that was Reviewed the same 2025 date you started it (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
— It is recommended that you save a screenshot in case the review gets deleted
— Reviews that are not in English or look as if they will get deleted (such as troll reviews) will not be accepted
(53) Watch an anime with a Review that has at least three different reaction emojis
(54) Watch an anime where the difference between ranking and popularity is at least 1,500
(55) Watch an anime that has no Recommendations (anime must finish airing before you start it)
(56) Watch an anime with more users in the "Plan-to-Watch" stat than the "Completed" stat (anime must finish airing before you start it)
(57) Watch an anime with 12 or more episodes that has a synopsis by MAL Rewrite (anime must finish airing before you start it)
(58) Watch an anime with 150 or less favorites on MAL (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(59) Watch an anime that has a higher score than a listed Adaptation under related anime
(60) Watch an anime with a popularity lower than #418 (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(61) Watch an anime with a popularity lower than #1721 (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(62) Watch an anime with a popularity lower than #4240 (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(63) Watch an anime with a score of 8.22 or above (anime must finish airing before you start it)
(64) Watch an anime with a score of 6.23 or below (anime must finish airing before you start it)

Characters
(65) Watch an anime tagged with either Artificial Intelligence or Android on AniDB
(66) Watch an anime that has a main character tagged with Hot-Headed or Selfish on Anime Planet (character must be listed on MAL)
(67) Watch an anime that has an Inanimate Object as a character
(68) Watch an anime that has a main character with majority blue, green, pink, or purple hair color (just streaks of these colors do not count)
— The character's hair must be mostly one or several of the listed colors; just streaks of them will not be valid
— The character can have a combination of the listed hair colors, as long as the listed hair colors make up the majority of their hair
(69) Watch an anime with a Narrator or Narration character listed on the Characters and Staff page
(70) Watch an anime with 3 or more main characters that are of the same gender
(71) Watch an anime that only has one main character listed on MAL (can have any number of supporting characters)
(72) Watch an anime with 8 or more main characters listed on MAL (can have any number of supporting characters)
(73) Watch an anime that has more main characters than supporting characters
(74) Watch an anime where the same Voice Actor is credited under at least two different characters (main or supporting)
— The voice actor/actress must be listed on the anime's Characters and Staff page next to both characters

Broadcasting & Studios/Producers/Licensors
(75) Watch a morning anime (broadcast between 6:00 and 11:59 JST)
(76) Watch an afternoon/evening anime (broadcast between 17:00 and 22:59 JST)
(77) Watch a late night anime (broadcast between 23:00 and 03:59 JST)
(78) Watch a listed Anime no Me, Nichigo, or noitaminA anime
(79) Watch a listed Animeism, NUMAnimation or TBS Wonderful anime
(80) Watch a listed Anisata, AnichU, Doroku, Ultra Super Anime Time, or +Ultra anime

For the following 2 items the studio cannot be listed under Producer on the anime's MAL page
(81) Watch an anime by a studio with less than 35 anime in MAL's database
— If there are multiple studios listed, only one of them needs to be valid
(82) Watch an anime by a studio you haven't seen anything from (studio cannot be listed as producer)
— If you have an anime from the chosen studio on your Completed/Watching/On Hold/Dropped list, you cannot use that studio
— If there are multiple studios listed, only one of them needs to be valid

Anime+ & Favorites
(83) Watch an anime listed on a 2025 AWC participant's Anime+ recommendations and provide a screenshot that includes their username
(84) Watch an anime suggested to you by MAL or by Anime+ and provide a screenshot including your username
(85) Watch an anime from your most watched studio sorted by time on Anime+ that has a MAL rating of less than 8.0 (screenshot must show username)
— On Anime+ under Anime Favorites, sort Favorite Studios by Time, from highest to lowest
— The studio must be listed as the studio not the producer
— Anime can have two or more studios listed as long as one of them is your most watched
(86) Watch an anime tagged with your lowest scored genre/theme/demographic sorted by Mean according to Anime+ (screenshot must show username)
— On Anime+ under Anime Favorites, sort Favorite Genres by Mean watched (the "M" column), from lowest to highest
— Hentai and Erotica CAN be skipped, but make note of it
(87) Watch an anime Recommended to one of the Anime listed in your MAL Favorites (favorite anime must have been completed before item is started)
(88) Watch an anime in which one of the People listed in your MAL Favorites participated
— Person must be listed on your profile under People; they can be a voice actor/actress, director, original creator, musical artist, etc.
(89) Finish an anime that you watched at least one episode of and dropped/put on hold September 30, 2024 or earlier (Alternatively: watch something from the listed provided by the AWCC/MRCC Staff)
— The anime needs to have more than one episode and you must have watched at least one episode previously

Anime Songs
(90) Watch an anime that has no Opening Theme and no Ending Theme listed (anime must have finished airing before you started it)
— The anime cannot have an Opening Theme and it also cannot have an Ending Theme
(91) Watch an anime that has only one Opening Theme and one Ending Theme listed (anime must have at least 20 episodes)
— Cannot have 1 OP and 0 ED; cannot have 0 OP and 1 ED; must have exactly one of each
(92) Watch an anime with either 5 or more Opening Themes listed or 5 or more Ending Themes listed
— It must at least 5 Opening Theme songs or at least 5 Ending Theme songs
• Example: 2 OP and 5 ED, 6 OP and 1 ED, 5 OP and 5 ED; it can't be 2 OP and 3 ED
(93) Watch an anime in which 2 or more Opening Theme (OP) and/or Ending Theme (ED) are performed by the same Artist/Group (must be two different songs)
— Must be two different songs; can be 2 OP, 2 ED, 1 OP+1 ED, etc.
— The artist/group can collaborate with others; for example: in Cowboy Bebop The Seatbelts are credited for the OP "Tank!" and ED #1 "The Real Folk Blues" featuring Mai Yamane
(94) Watch an anime featuring a Voice Actor (main or supporting character) who is also credited with a Theme/Insert Song Performance in the anime
— If the voice actor/actress is credited under their band's name it will not be valid; for example: Kishou Taniyama must be credited with a Theme/Insert Song Performance in the anime instead of GRANRODEO

Demographics/Genres/Themes
For the following items, the demographics/genre/theme must be listed on the anime's MAL page when you start the anime to be valid - the lists provided are not comprehensive and not automatically updated when MAL makes changes
(95) Watch an anime tagged with Kids (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(96) Watch an anime tagged with Music
(97) Watch an anime tagged with School (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)
(98) Watch an anime tagged with either Adult Cast or Supernatural (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
(99) Watch an anime tagged with either Anthropomorphic or Avant Garde (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
(100) Watch an anime tagged with either Historical or Horror (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
(101) Watch an anime tagged with either Mecha or Super Power (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
(102) Watch an anime tagged with either Military or Sports (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)
(103) Watch an anime tagged with either Mystery or Parody (each episode must be at least 16 minutes)

(108) Watch an anime tagged with at least ONE of the following: CGDCT, Medical, Racing, Strategy Game
(109) Watch an anime tagged with at least ONE of the following: Boys Love, Iyashikei, Mahou Shoujo, Urban Fantasy
(110) Watch an anime tagged with at least ONE of the following: Childcare, Gag Humor, Magical Sex Shift, Shoujo

As you cross the carnival grounds, the hustle and bustle of the festivities ring in your ears. The scents of greasy street food and sickly sweet candy floss drift past your nose. The glimmering lights of the many attractions almost seem like a set of electrical fireworks, sparkling amongst the crowd, as the stars twinkle brightly above.

Your eye is drawn to one curious corner of the grounds where the crowd has thinned out. There seems to be a tent there, barely visible to the point where you rub your eyes to check if you are seeing things or not. Was it even there? Squinting and looking again it appeared to be medium-sized, made of blue and purple silks, with no flashing neon signs or shimmering lights to advertise what was contained inside.

Curiosity wins out. As you approach the tent you notice the edges seem to fade in and out, almost as if the tent was a ghost or some otherworldly figure. As you hesitate and ponder how this is possible, you notice a hand peek out of the fabric where the entrance should be. A long gnarled finger curled in a beckoning “come here” gesture.

You enter the tent and are confronted with the figure of an older woman, hunched over a table that has many objects on top. You can’t really see her face because it’s slightly obscured by a purple veil, but you can vaguely see a wrinkled face. Just as you lean closer to try and figure out who or what you’re looking at, candles spark to life beside the woman, but instead of normal red flame they were an otherworldly blue.

“I sense you’re lost, my child… Please, allow me to bring you some clarity. Here, I can see what the universe has to say about you or your future, but you must be the one who chooses through which lens I view your path.”

The woman then holds out her hands, as if presenting the table to you, and you notice two objects of note upon the purple silk tablecloth: An ornate deck of cards and a pristine crystal ball the size of a small melon. Which one do you choose?
